Thesis

Doctoral training is open to holders of a Master of Research or an equivalent degree.
It lasts three years and provides training in and through research. It leads to the production and dissemination of knowledge. Discover the 4 master's degrees offered by INSA CVL.

It also provides professional experience in the world of research. It involves personal research work supervised by a team of researchers, supplemented by training validated by the doctoral school. It culminates in the award of the National Doctoral Degree. Doctoral Schools (DS) organise training of PhD students and prepare them for their professional activity at the end of their doctoral training. They bring together research units and teams from one or several institutions.

INTERNATIONAL THESES

INSA CVL attracts around fifty PhD students, 75% of whom come from abroad. The institute is responsible for their recruitment and the laboratory supervises their work. These international PhD students come from China, Indonesia, Nigeria, Morocco, Lebanon, etc., as part of specific programmes or co-tutored theses. These PhD students divide their research time between France and their country of origin, or they can complete their three-year doctorate at INSA CVL. This mobility is made possible by scholarships awarded by the governments in their home countries or by the French State.
